Jenifer was born in south Devon and attended Kingsbridge Grammar School. She studied at art college for four years for the National Diploma in Design (N.D.D.), specialising in Textiles & Fabric Design for the final two years. After art college, she obtained a teaching qualification from Rolle College of Education, Exeter. She taught both general teaching and Art in the U.K. and Canada. Jenifer took up watercolour painting in her later years in Canada and continued with it on her return to the U.K. Her main interest is Flower Painting but she also does Life Painting, Portraits, Still Life and Landscape. She taught a watercolour, adult-education class in Cockermouth for three years and presently gives workshops in watercolour techniques to local art groups.

Jenifer belongs to various art groups and societies here in Cumbria, including the Keswick Society of Art, Lowes Court Gallery, the `Beck Road Group' (a group specialising in Life drawing and painting), culminating in her recent election to the Lake Artists Society in 2005. Jenifer has exhibited her work in a number of Cumbrian galleries and group exhibitions including Upfront, Lowes Court, Theatre By The Lake, the Kirkgate Centre, the ArtHouse at Brigham and the Lake Artists annual exhibition in Grasmere. Jenifer presently has work at the Percy House Gallery in Cockermouth, the ArtHouse at Brigham and the Thornthwaite Gallery.
